The PERTH BLUES CLUB presents

Bang Bang Betty & the H-Bombs + Love Bites

Bang Bang Betty & the H-Bombs | 7.30pm

Perth’s very own Miss Dynamite, Coo Jarvis, brings her sassy vocals to the party, fronting one Perth's hottest live rockin' bands. The H-Bombs’ explosive mix of jump blues and swinging R&B has wowed crowds as far afield as Tokyo, with headline sets at Cooly Rocks Festival 2024, sold-out shows at the Ellington Jazz Club and their Fringe event “Jump Sister Jump” in the past 12 months. They also launched their 3rd vinyl record “Fatal Attraction” with a sold-out show at Lyrics Underground last June.
Featuring Coo Jarvis (lead vocals), Andy Jarvis (guitar), Mark Sprogowski (tenor sax), Marc Gordon (double bass) and Dom D’Leno (drums), the band’s musicianship is matched by their exciting repertoire, mixing authentic originals with a fabulous selection of hip-shakin' 50s sounds. An absolute dance-floor treat!
“with an all-original flair at their core, this electrifying band rewinds the clocks, rejuvenating the golden era of rhythm and blues, with a fantastic tip of the hat to the 50s”
Aldora Britain Records review of Bang Bang Betty & the H-Bombs.

Love Bites | 9.00pm

Wanna shake, baby shake? Well, if you like your stones rolled and your blue bones shaken and rattled, then Love bites are just what the witch doctor ordered. Stones flavoured R&B with a twist of rock’n’roll, a dash of blues and a splash of whatever that other ingredient is. Having long since forgotten their vague promise to deliver that fourth chord, they remain in that magical era when bands got up, kicked it around and just had a brilliant time playing a bunch of songs.
With Phil Bennett honky tonking on the 88s and hollering out them words, John Chopping squeezing out the six string licks, John Talati rambling and rumbling on the bass, and international troubadore, Richie Pavledis, kicking out the groove with his sticks, there’s voodoo magic in the air when these guys hit the stage.
And added to the lineup will be the amazing April Ashton on sax and special guest vocalists Adele De Marchi and Coo Jarvis. Bags of fun!
