With special guest Jack Gray
Azure Ryder arrived in March this year with the release of her debut EP ‘Running with the Wolves’. It was the perfect introduction to one of the world’s most uniquely refreshing new singer-songwriting talents.
Azure’s most recent single ‘Stronger’ from her forthcoming new EP ‘Crazy With The Light’ is already creating waves on streaming platforms. The brilliant ‘Petty Isn’t Pretty’, was the first single in this next chapter which Azure shared at the height of the summer, complete with an enigmatic sun-drenched video. As the days shorten and the coldness nips at our heels, the visual for ‘Stronger’ ushers in a more crisp autumn vibe as we see Azure on a beach at dusk wrapped in a warm glow of fairy lights during the last days of summer.
The song itself tells a tale of resilience and empowerment through severance and heartbreak. Emotionally stirring it pays homage to the philosophy that what doesn’t kill you, can only make you stronger.
From growing up in a coastal town not far from Sydney in a big Australian-Lebanese family, Azure has a longstanding fascination with the sea and the land that surrounded her from that start. She is constantly influenced by the power of the earth, the sky, the moon and the stars and seeks guidance and strength from the natural energies that surround her on a daily basis. Azure channels these energies into her beguiling music and this new single and subsequent EP are no exception.
The debut EP received instant and unanimous praise across the globe – not least her home country Australia where Dizzy was No.1 most played on triple j for weeks. Combined releases have amassed more than 11 million streams across digital platforms, with ‘Wolves’ clocking up more than 4 million streams on Spotify alone. Azure recently recorded a triple j ‘Like A Version’ live session where she performed ‘Dizzy’ for the first time alongside Dua Lipa’s ‘Don’t Start Now’.
