About Afrobrasiliana: For the best part of the past decade, DJs and collectors El Chino (2SER’s Departure Lounge), Astronafrica, Walking Fish (Mixagi), Jön McCulloch (The Vinyl Frontier), Benny Hinn (PlayBar) and Paris Groovescooter (Jumping The Gap) have been hosting their colourful Afrobrasiliana parties. From warehouse parties featuring talents like Miles Cleret (Soundway Records) and club nights with guests like Essa Williams [UK], through to outdoor festivals and club residencies, it’s all about polyrhythms both new and vintage, feel-good vibes, good times and dancing. Colourful dancefloor heat is guaranteed with the regular addition of live samba drumming troupe Bateria Grupo 61 de Samba and beautifully decked out Brazilian dancers.
