LUMA Returns To Queenstown For The King’s Birthday Long Weekend 2023

LUMA is back, returning to Queenstown Gardens Thursday 1 June - Monday 5 June over the King's Birthday Weekend!

When it began in 2016, LUMA demonstrated how an otherwise quiet weekend at the start of winter can come alive and bring the Southern Lakes to life with a celebration of arts, culture and performance in the unique alpine landscape. Since then, LUMA has grown, evolved and emerged as a bright milestone on the New Zealand events calendar.

This year, LUMA is back in its natural habitat for the latest instalment of the annual take-over of the Queenstown Gardens. Kicking off winter in style, this is one event you won't want to miss. After a hugely successful LUMA21, the spectacle returns for a unique celebration of the region's alpine nightscape, including live music, illuminated art, sculpture, sonic environments, interactive performance, local eats and plenty of unexpected moments at every turn!
