A chicken nugget/doughnut combo was funded on ‘Shark Tank’ last night

Oh my!
If you think chicken nuggets are far too small, or that doughnuts are way too sweet, then one savvy husband and wife team from Melbourne has the solution to your oddly-specific issue, and thanks to funding from a Shark Tank investor – you’ll soon be able to buy it from every fish and chip store from Summer Heights to Summer Bay.
Rachel Dutton and Crag Carrick scored a $100,000 cash injection from RedBalloon founder Naomi Simson – in exchange for 25% of the business.
The item is called a Donug (see what they did there?) and as Simson said: ““People are looking for a full meal, and I think it is a whole meal. It’s quite substantial.”
“I’m not changing the world with this product,” Carrick admitted of his — to be frank, world-changing product — “I’m giving something that’s fun, it’s easy to understand, people get it straight away. It’s about getting Donugs sold here at every sporting ground, every servo, every fish-and-chip shop.”
We are in. And you can be sure we will update you with news on this game-changer.
