Northbridge comes alive with the William Street Long Table Lunch & Block Party!

William Street is set to come alive this March with a brand-new collaborative community event, The William Street Long Table Lunch. Serving up an incredible collaborative menu from William Street venues North Bird Wine, Ezra Pound, Francoforte, Bivouac, Double Rainbow, Govinda's, Munchy Monk, Downtown Cafe, Chicho Gelato, and Cafe Pastel, the William Street Long Table Lunch will highlight the best of Northbridge’s cultural, arts, and hospitality community offerings.

Diners are invited to be a part of an exciting and immersive food, beverage, and arts experience as the street on the first block of William Street transforms into a communal lunch and performance area this March. The Long Table Lunch will bring together local restaurants, bars and cafes to showcase their amazing food and beverages to lucky ticket holders. All dishes will be served family-style along the tables for hungry punters to share, creating a synergetic community experience.

How will the food work?

You will be sharing the experience of dining on William Street with 300 people, split into 3 groups of 100. Each group of 100 will be sharing food from 4 of our hospitality partners.

Tables on the street will be split into groups of 4 and you will have the pleasure to share the following dishes from the Venues in the section you chose.

Your group will be sharing:

• 3 Entrées
• 3 Mains
• 3 Sides
• 1 Dessert each from one of our dessert partners (lucky dip!)

Vegetarians/Vegan
If you are Vegan or Vegetarian, we have an amazing section just for you and your meat-eating friends. Bivouac and Govinda's will be providing a completely vegan experience while North Bird will still be doing its meat thing to make sure the friends around you that might not share your dietaries, still have options.

With a wide range of musical genres, the Block Party will be a free event, featuring live sets from Alter Boy, Gia Como, Project Bexx, Racka Chachi and Odette Mercy & Soul Atomics from 4 ‘til 8pm so Northbridge locals can dance their way into Saturday night.

In addition to this fantastic community event, Northbridge will also see activations at the William Street Bird featuring Anesu, Ghost Care, Grace Sanders, Joan & The Giants, Odlaw, Sai Galaxy (Digital Afrika) and Siobhan Cotchin, and an Ezra Pound carpark party, to make this event an experience to remember.

Why is this event so special?

Firstly we have to thank the state government of Western Australia for sponsoring it. It’s special as the sponsorship heavily subsidises ticket prices, otherwise prices would exceed $450. The William Street Long Table Lunch is a once in a lifetime opportunity to eat lunch on Northbridge’s iconic William Street! Set to the sounds of Perth’s most notable Jazz musicians, the afternoon will be drenched in flavour, colour and culture. 

Will there be a bar during lunch?

What kind of party doesn’t have a bar? We will be serving tap beer, wine, cocktails and spirits.

Can my friends and I buy tickets separately, but sit together?

Absolutely! All you will need to do is ensure you buy tickets for the same group of restaurants so you are in the same 100-group section. Seating isn’t allocated on the day within each section, so find your friends and sit together.

How will seating work?

There will be 3 sections of 100, grouped by the restaurants you have chosen. Food will be served to groups of 4 people.

Where will you be sitting during lunch?

Lunch will be served on Northbridge’s iconic William Street, between Roe Street and James Street. Take your pick of 100 chairs set at 2 very long tables!. Wear a hat, sunnies and sunscreen!

Can we stay for the free block party?

We really hope you will! Enjoy priority entry with the general public arriving with doors opening at 4pm. During the hour between lunch and the Block Party, the bar will be open with DJs on the decks.
