Direct from the USA - Lynwood Slim & His Band featuring Richard Innes, Alex Schultz & Hans Deberitz. Lynwood Slim, born into early 50’s Downtown Los Angeles, Slim’s past is a colourful tale of skid row gangs, professional snooker…and the Blues.

Drawn to the music & subsequently the Watts and Hollywood clubs as a teenager, Lynwood quickly appeared on the circuit, at first as Big Walter Horton’s right hand man and later with numerous other legendary names.

Since the early 70’s, Lynwood Slim has been a mainstay of the fertile Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Chicago Blues Scenes and has worked with a virtual "who's who" of the blues world over the past 30 years. In addition to Big Walter Horton, gigs and collaborations with Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Willie Dixon, Bo Diddley, PeeWee Crayton, RL Burnside, Big Mama Thornton, Hollywood Fats, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Junior Watson & Kid Ramos are all amongst his past and present. He is a frequent performer at major festivals and clubs worldwide.

One of US blues most expressive and accomplished singers and harp players, Slim is revered world wide for his 50's flavoured Jump and Chicago grooves. In addition to being a seasoned performer, collaborating with recording partner Jerry Hall, Lynwood Slim is Los Angeles busiest blues record Producer, frequently hired by major labels.

Since his last visit to Australia in late 2003, Slim has primarily worked the US circuit with frequent dates in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.
