Encore Manly presents The Nile Rogers Chic Show at Manly's longest running comedy venue, the Old Manly Boatshed. The Nile Rodgers & Chic Show, led by the Musical Director/keyboard-player Sam McNally, features Eric Rasmussen (from 1970's hit band "Heatwave”). Supported by the Sam McNally Group with guest Peter Cupples (from the soul-funk band Stylus). Doors open at 6pm, event kicks off at 8pm!

The Nile Rodgers "songbook" involves smash hits such as Good Times and Everybody Dance from Chic; We Are Family from Sister Sledge; Diana Ross’s Upside Down and I’m Coming Out; Let’s Dance from David Bowie; Madonna’s Like A Virgin; and Get Lucky from Daft Punk (abbreviated list).

The NR&Chic Show band includes Graham Burns (bass, vocal), and Dave Plenty (drums). The two-girl vocal dynamic of Chic is delivered by Bec Caruana and Taylor B-W - two of the best of Sydney's hard-working professionals. Taylor B-W by the way is the daughter of another notable talent: ex Kiwi, Mark Williams (“Show no mercy”) who now fronts classic band Dragon.

Some of the biggest names in Australian music and comedy will be up close and personal in the pubs, bars and clubs of Sydney’s beachside town, Manly, from Wednesday 17 August to Sunday 28 August 2022.

Encore Manly will see more than 60 musical artists and comedians on stage across more than 20 local Manly venues over the two week period. Kids and families are also in for a treat with some of the greatest ever Australian characters ready to make an appearance by the beach!
