Join us for a screening of ‘The True Cost’ and an open panel held to educate and empower community membersand bring awareness to the devastating impacts of fast fashion. Facilitated by Natalie Shehata; eco stylist and founder of tommie magazine, the destination for creative women with a conscience. Fashion is an industry that communicates global happenings and tommie magazine investigates the visibility of all women in fashion and provides a platform to drive conversation and fight for a better future for the industry.

The True Cost is a documentary about the people who make our clothing and the impact it has on our environment. Filmed all over the world and featuring interviews with Stella McCartney, Livia Firth and other influentials, The True Cost is an eye opening journey into the lives of the people and places behind our clothes.
Doors to the Vanguard will open at 6:00pm and the screening will begin at 6:30pm. Once it finishes at 8:00pm there will be a short break for drinks and snacks, followed by an open panel discussion led by Natalie, Christina Kelly (designer and owner) of Made590, Camilla Schippa (CEO) of The Social Outfit and SWOP representative Zoe Hinman.
