CAXTON STREET SEAFOOD & WINE FESTIVAL RAISING FUNDS FOR THE WESLEY HOSPITAL AND QUEENSLAND FLOODS APPEAL 2013 SUNDAY MAY 5TH
Brisbane's iconic Caxton Street was left high and dry during Queensland's devastating floods that have again affected many parts of this great State. Having raised substantial funds for the Premiers Disaster Relief Appeal in 2011, Caxton Street will be donating part proceeds from all tickets sold to the Queensland Floods Appeal 2013. While Queenslanders have endured the worst, this natural disaster provides people the opportunity to show their best, and the Caxton Street Seafood & Wine Festival hopes to support those in the face of yet another challenge.
The Caxton Street Seafood & Wine Festival will also continue its long standing relationship with the Wesley Hospital. 2013 will see Caxton Street donating part-proceeds from every ticket pre-sold to Wesley Hospital's Prostate Cancer Care program. After raising significant funds in 2012, our great event hopes to again support an amazing hospital that has supported so many.
Always delivering first class seafood, wine and entertainment, the Caxton Street Seafood & Wine Festival is excited to have a stellar bill of performers generously support the event. Caxton Street's favourite son Ash Grunwald returns with Scott Owen (The Living End) and a mystery guest to spearhead the event with Sydney indie hip hopper Chance Waters, Brisbane funkster Tyler Touch and Melbourne's Deadly Award winning & IMA nominated Yung Warriors. Fresh off the Big Day Out, Jakarta Criers join the street, along with the enigmatic ARIA nominated Mr Wilson and Brisbane's prodigal crooner Tyrone Noonan (George). Australian rock royalty Mental As Anything & The Choirboys round out an impressive list of artists confirmed, with many more to be announced!
As you purchase your festival ticket on February 25th your donation will go towards these important causes. With 15,000 tickets available, we hope to raise funds and lift the spirits of those who have been so profoundly affected by floods and illness. So in 2013, Queensland's biggest street party will not only provide great food, wine and fantastic entertainment; it will continue the great Queensland tradition of pitching in and helping out your mates. Please show your support and donate to Wesley Hospital Prostate Cancer Care and Queensland Floods Appeal 2013 on Sunday May 5th.
