Renowned for their high-energy live shows, musicianship and infectious raw, rootsy, rhythms, The Black Sorrows have not stopped recording and performing since Joe formed the band in 1984. From gospel to sweet soul, raw blues to country and wild rock’n’roll joyrides, no musical style is left in the corner waiting for a dance partner.

Joe Camilleri is an irrepressible giant of Australian rock, rhythm and blues, and writer of milestone anthems such as, ‘Chained To The Wheel’, ‘Harley and Rose’ & ‘Never Let Me Go’. Spontaneous (forget set lists) and emotionally driven, Joe ensures that no two performances are ever the same. This ARIA Hall of Famer is one of the most committed and successful musicians this country has produced and a man who loves and lives music. Camilleri’s mantra is simple “we come to play and leave the audience feeling exhilarated”. 

In this performance Camilleri and Claude Carranza (originally from Kids in the Kitchen) steer through an energetic interplay of solid grooves and well-crafted songs that mix those well-worn ingredients of blues, soul, R&B, gospel, country and even Brill Building pop.
