The Bondi Short Film Festival, now in its 12th year, acts as a launch pad for inspired young film makers who are working towards a career in the feature film industry.

"Our principle aim is to support and foster young independent minds by providing the opportunity to screen their vision to a discerning audience". Commented Francis Coady, Festival Director.

"We accept a broad spectrum of films from documentaries, dramas, comedies and animations." Coady continued.

Numerous industry heavyweights have lent their support to the festival as guest judges including Bruce Beresford, Margaret Pomeranz, Nell Schofield, Martin Fabinyi (Mushroom Pictures), Leanne Walsmann, Claudia Karvan, Chris Haywood, Sam Worthington, Benjamin Gilmore (Director - Son of a Lion) and Brendan Cowell.

Each year the festival receives hundreds of entries from across Australia. Showcasing its ongoing commitment to the independent Australian film industry, the festival invites all filmmakers to submit an entry - with no fee attached.
