TEK TEK return to Brunswick Ballroom on Friday 3rd May with the magnificent Don't Thank Me Spank Me.

TEK TEK perform virtuosic and original music inspired by tropical jungles, late night discos,1960s chic, and shamanistic desert rituals.

The balance of three guys and three girls captivate audiences with exclamatory trumpet; hedonistic violins and organ; deeply pulsating drums and bass; wild psychedelic electric guitar and synthesizer; and a rich smearing of harmonized singing (and wailing) thrown on top. 

Don’t Thank Me, Spank Me! drive their life-size size hot wheels car into the world of love, destiny, friendship, self reflection and stupidity. Their music is garage-y rnb-y punk-y with either iPhone beats or Animal on drums.
The band is the ultra-femme apparition of frontwomen Nitida Atkinson and Esther Henderson. They channel the bass heavy pop sound of childhood idols like Destiny’s Child and Britney Spears alongside the hearts-on-sleeves, hopelessly romantic yachtiness of Hall and Oats.
