DRIFT Arts Festival and Guts Touring are immensely proud to present the Mornington Peninsula debut show for Canberra’s Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers!
Fresh from a slot in triple j’s Hottest 100, invitations to some of the country’s biggest festivals, and a sold-out Corner Hotel show, the Teeny Jeanies’ are set to ignite the Rosebud Memorial Hall in an all-free, all-ages extravaganza of gritty, nostalgic grunge pop.
Channelling Riot Grrrl-era energy with a modern spin, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers are the most natural, unapologetic and damn likeable punk-rockers you’ll meet. Formed during high school, Teen Jesus burst onto the scene in 2019 and quickly snapped attention for their teenage ragamuffin image and searingly good garage punk sound. The group cut their teeth playing festivals including BIGSOUND, Groovin’ The Moo, Laneway, Falls, Lost Paradise & Spilt Milk, supporting a slew of Australia’s finest including Polish Club, Alex Lahey, Press Club, WAAX, Dear Seattle & more, while impressing with their searing EP ‘Pretty Good for a Girl Band’.
This event will also launch a new, two-year youth music development partnership between Mornington Peninsula Shire and Guys Touring, ensuring that our next crop of musicians are equipped with all the know-how and the tools to succeed in the music industry.
