Northern Beaches Council presents
Taste of Manly - Saturday 28 May
Wrap up the month of May with a feast for the senses at Taste of Manly, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 May at Manly Oval.
The event will focus on food stalls from local Northern Beaches restaurants, cafes and caterers as well as local brewers, local distilleries and select wineries, all complemented by entertainment from local musicians.
WHAT DATE AND TIME IS THE EVENT BEING HELD?
Saturday 28 May 2022 11.30am - 5.30pm
Sunday 29 May 2022 11.30am - 5.30pm
WHAT DOES MY ENTRY TICKET INCLUDE?
You will receive a commemorative event glass and access to all food and drink stalls and entertainment.
Non-alcohol event tickets do not include a commemorative event glass.
WHAT CAN I BUY AT THE EVENT?
There will be a variety of food choices offer from several food stalls as well as non-alcoholic drinks.
A variety of beer, wine and mixed drinks will also be available for $6 each. Bottle/can sales of alcohol will be not be available for consumption on site or takeaway (purchase available for post event delivery only).
Please note: Last drinks will be at 5.00pm.
HOW DO I MAKE MY PURCHASES AT THE EVENT?
Taste of Manly is going cashless. Once at the venue you will be able to access the menus of all our stallholders from your phone via a QR code. Whilst hanging out with friends and family you can ‘browse, order and pay’ online. Once your order is ready to collect you will receive a text message to come and pick it up. A smoother transaction to ensure you get to enjoy more time with your friends and family.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A SMART PHONE?
Please purchase your ticket online prior to arriving to the event and bring a printed copy of your ticket with you to scan at the gate. Once inside you can visit our information tent for help with purchasing food and beverage.
WHAT CAN I BRING?
Photo ID, picnic rugs, point and shoot cameras, insect repellent, sun protection, umbrella or raincoat if rain is forecast, smart phone with entry tickets and to make your food and beverage purchases.
WHAT SHOULD I LEAVE AT HOME?
The following items will not be permitted to bring into the event: Drinks of any kind (empty water bottles excepted), pets (other than assistance animals), food, tents, chairs, eskies, alcohol or drugs, video or professional recording and photography equipment, drones, skateboards, rollerblades, rollershoes, frisbees, weapons (including pocket knives), fireworks and anything else flammable, dangerous or dubious items and bad attitudes.
Please note: This is a cashless event and cash will not be accepted.
CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?
Children 17 years and under are permitted with the purchase of a non-alcohol event entry ticket. Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
CAN I USE MY GLASS FROM A PREVIOUS TASTE OF MANLY EVENT?
Our COVID Safety protocols do not allow for reuse of glasses from previous events or to collect glasses for use at future events
The 2022 Taste of Manly event glasses are reusable, dishwasher safe (top shelf) and BPA Free. Take them home as a souvenir from the event - they're great for use at the pool or other places where glass is not allowed.
We will monitor the weather in the lead up to the event. In the event of extreme weather, we will advise people who have purchased tickets if the event will proceed.
IS THE SITE ACCESSIBLE FOR PEOPLE WITH RESTRICTED MOBILITY?

WHAT HAPPENS WITH ANY PHOTOS OR VIDEOS THAT MIGHT BE TAKEN OF ME WHILST I AM AT THE EVENT?
We may have a professional photographer and/or videographer at the event. If this is the case, there will be signs in the venue advising you of this. Photographs and video footage taken at the event may be used in future for promotional purposes.
WILL THERE BE BAG CHECKS AT ENTRY?
All bags are subject to safety and security search upon entry. Any prohibited items will be confiscated. People under 18 will not be served alcohol.
WILL TICKETS BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATE?
Tickets are not available at the gate, however they can be purchased online through our website the day of the event if not sold out prior.
ARE THERE ANY PASS OUTS ONCE I AM INSIDE?
There will be no pass outs once inside the event.
HOW CAN I GET TO THE EVENT?

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET A REFUND?
This event is non-refundable. No change of mind will be permitted, unless for reasons stated below due to COVID-19. Refunds will only be offered to patrons if the event is cancelled due to extreme weather and/or force majeure. Please also refer to our COVID-19 FAQs.
IS THIS EVENT COVID-SAFE?
Your safety is important to us! Northern Beaches Council is committed to COVID-Safety when delivering community events and will comply with the NSW Public Health Orders at the time. If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the event and get tested.
WHAT IF THE EVENT GETS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19?
Any changes to NSW Health orders and restrictions that impact Taste of Manly will be announced on the Northern Beaches Council event webpage, social media channels and ticketholder email.
We will do our best to reschedule the event. If we are unable to postpone, you will receive a full refund.
If the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 all cancellation notifications will be announced on Northern Beaches Council event webpage, social media channels and ticketholder email.
WHAT IF I HAVE UNDERTAKEN A COVID-19 TEST?
A full refund will be issued where a COVID-19 test with a positive result within 7 days of Taste of Manly is received and/or if awaiting COVID-19 test results. You will require proof of testing and/or results. Please contact our Events team.
