Qld Music Trails introduces their debut Brisbane event,Sweet Relief!, a unique one-day party and springtime getaway taking place at Brisbane’s Maritime Green, Northshore on September 16, 2023.

Music tourism trendsetters Qld Music Trails co-presents Sweet Relief! with Untitled Group and Brisbane Festival announces an Australian exclusive headlining DJ set from legendary electronic music titans Groove Armada and an exclusive live set from cult Australian dance act, The Avalanches. Additionally, queer dance crew Poof DoofPride Patrol ft. Jimi The Kween join the party alongside market stalls and more.

Sweet Relief! encourages Queenslanders and inter-staters alike to head to the sunny state’s capital and enjoy a sizzling party along the city’s riverside. English dancefloor legends Groove Armada (DJ Set) will bring their influential dance super-stardom to Brisbane and Brisbane only for an exclusive DJ set sure to ignite the dance floor as they span their 90s origins through to their 2020’s eighth studio album. Joining the duo is iconic Australian act, The Avalanches who bring their dynamic live show to Sweet Relief!, performing from their award-winning back-catalog of sampled dance music bliss. Joining them on the stage is none other than Ladyhawke, Cut Copy (DJ Set), Nina Las Vegas, Latifa Tee & YO! Mafia.

Sweet Relief! Also invites festivalgoers to participate in Australia’s Biggest Dress Up Contest and come on the day in their sweetest and most extraordinary getup. Whether it’s otherworldly face paint, a dazzling costume, or lots of glitter, entrants are encouraged to dress how they feel. Anything goes!
 A celebrity panel of judges, including beloved presenter Osher and drag superstar, Jimi The Kween will award prizes for Best Individual Costume, Best Group Theme and Best Couple Ensemble among those who walk the Academy Award-style, 360-video catwalk.
