Sunfruits are pleased to announce their biggest Australian tour yet in support of their forthcoming debut album, One Degree. In high anticipation ever since the Melbourne/Naarm band released their Certified Organic EP in 2020, the album sees their most mature and conceptual songwriting to date. As heard in recent singles ‘End Of The World’, ‘Believe It All’ and ‘Made To Love’, the album showcases Sunfruits’ incredible talents in writing memorable psychedelic pop songs and their desire to use their music for good. The album is filled with anthemic choruses, melodic psychedelia, harmonious ballads and danceable indie pop, interplaying with potent lyrical messages of hope and despair. Through the album’s 11 tracks the band explore environmental collapse, resilience, self-reflection, love and relationships, all textured with a coming-of-age feel.
“Taking on environmental anxiety, self-reliance and resilience, and, above all, escapist love, Sunfruits upcoming record should be just as deliciously joyful and thoughtful as their new single." — Rolling Stone AU/NZ
The 5 piece band will be performing the new album with 8 shows across the east coast of so called Australia including their biggest Sydney headline show yet at The Lansdowne on May 13th.
Joining Sunfruits at The Lansdowne will be indie pop stalwarts Classic and psych pop icons SUIIX.
This event is taking place on the stolen lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora ation. We respect the sovereignty of indigenous people all around so called Australia and the ongoing hardships brought to them by Colonialism. We pay our respects to elders past present and emerging and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded and no treaty has been signed.
