Important information for Event only Patrons to read before driving to Splendour in the Grass
TRAVELLING BY CAR
In order to minimize the number of private vehicles travelling to and from the festival, we need to encourage car-pooling as much as possible. As one of the ways to encourage ride-sharing, we will be requiring all vehicles entering the site to carry a pre-purchased Car Pass. Patrons with Event-only tickets (no camping) wishing to drive their vehicle to the event and park will be required to pre-purchase a Day Parking Pass for the days they intend to use the North Byron Parklands day carpark.
Please note: 1 x Day Parking Pass is required per vehicle for each day you wish to park in the North Byron Parklands day carpark.
Day parkers can choose between Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Please note the day carpark is NOT open on Wednesday or Thursday.
PARKING
The festival day carpark is on Tweed Valley Way, around 1.3kms north of the Yelgun Interchange on the Pacific Highway. Please follow signage and directions of traffic control staff.
Event-only ticketholders wishing to drive to the festival and use the North Byron Parklands day carpark MUST first pre-purchase a Day Parking Pass. There will be a limit on the number of passes made available for each day.
The carpark will be open 10am-2am from Friday to Sunday.
Carpark will NOT be open on Wednesday 23 or Thursday 24 July.
Event-only ticketholders cannot drive to the site prior to Friday 25 July, although they may travel to the festival by bus on Thursday 24 July. Bus information can be found here.
Vehicles may not be left in the day carpark overnight and sleeping in vehicles in the day carpark is not allowed. Any vehicles that are left in the carpark overnight MUST be removed by 9am or further parking fees will apply.
All North Byron Parklands carparks are No Alcohol zones.
Do not park in surrounding streets or roads, especially in any residential areas. Special Event Parking restrictions will be in place on surrounding roads. Fines will apply for illegal parking.
Council rangers will be on the lookout for illegal camping or people sleeping in cars. Fines apply! Maximum penalty exceeds $1,000.
REFUNDS AVAILABLE
The good news is that if you do car-pool you will be rewarded. Day parkers can get a refund voucher to the value of $30 (based on a daily parking fee) if their vehicle contains 4 or more occupants holding festival entry tickets or wristbands for the day that their vehicle pass is valid.
DELIVERY OF TICKETS
Day Parking Passes will be emailed to you as electronic tickets. You will be required to print this ticket off and place it on the dashboard of your vehicle on the drivers side. Please have your vehicle pass in place well before arriving at North Byron Parklands so that this is easily visible to traffic controllers and staff.
