SNEAKY FREAKERS are tucked comfortably in the hip pocket of Newcastle’s eclectic local music scene. This joyful collective of musicians have gained a reputation for lighting up the dance floor with their infectious sound.

SNEAKY FREAKERS drive the love and energy via the classic combination of bass, drums and guitar. Horns and big soulful vocals colour sweet harmonies, beats and grooves that bend your knees and move your hips.

Drawing from mutual delight in the traditions of soul, funk and groove, they create exhilarating originals and savour delicious covers.

‘SF Wrens’ is the product of years of connection and collection of Newcastle creatives. They've been hitting the local scene as well as touring further afield, just coming off the back of their tour of Tasmania in January. This year the Wrens are gearing up for their debut release, with a bunch of music in the can ready to leak out over the year before dropping a full length album. --

 After cutting their teeth on singer/songwriter Duncan Woods’ back catalogue over the years, the band has absorbed new members, new sounds and a style all of its own which has culminated in a new upcoming EP “Bird Of The Year”. They have been likened to acts such as "The Cat Empire" and "The Herd", blending big riffs and horn lines with deep lyrics that dig on the nature of existence and the joy of being alive. SF Wrens make light of the idea of genre and focus their energy on the flowing madness of the live show.
