Sarah Yagki
Sarah Yagki is an emerging inner-west alternative dark pop artist with a distinctive lush sound heightened by her exploration of sound design, catchy melodies and poetic lyrics. Yagki’s distinctive larger than life electric guitars & drums with a particular vulnerability that goes hand in hand with her musical sensibilities creates a sound that is uniquely her own.
Sarah opens 2023 with a brand new EP ‘I Love You, I Lied’ that is celebrated with her launch at Eora/Sydney venue Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar on Sat March 11th.
The EP centres around ideas of loss, and the process of dealing with loss of friendships, relationships and yourself in the process of navigating yourself in your youth.
Yagki is joined by her band and supported by Jnr. and Good Bargain on the night.
Jnr. is a newcomer to the pop scene - only releasing his first single, ‘remember’ in March this year. But he has been behind the scenes producing and toplining for some of Sydney’s best up-and- comers (Corrj, JËVA and ANGE to name a few). His following solo releases, ‘A Friend’ and ‘Say (Light Me Up)’ have shown a stylistic change and proved this emerging artist has a diversity to his music unmatched in the current musical landscape. For fans of The 1975, LANY, No Rome and PC Music
