Jazz/Jazz Fusion with soul-jazz and funk

Sam McNally is one of Australia’s most experienced and accomplished keyboard-players. He was “never not gonna be a pro musician” in his mind, from age 16 or so. Sam was a member of 70’s Blue-Eyed Soulsters, Stylus who, frankly, were good enough for Motown to release their 3rd album in the US! He has also recorded and/or toured with Air Supply, Tommy Emmanuel, Tim Finn, Sharon O’Neill, Louie Shelton, Doug Williams and Coloured Stone. He has had compositions recorded by Tommy Emmanuel, Stylus and Louie Shelton. Sam has lived and worked in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Shenzhen, in addition to his adopted home town of Sydney, having grown up in Melbourne. He has recorded 5 albums of his own music, since 1980, and remains active in Music Education as well.

Diana Rouvas has always embraced music as a way of life. Many consider her the finest female vocalist in Australia. At 17, Diana joined the multi ARIA award-winning Tina Arena on backing vocals on a tour of France, where she performed to capacity crowds at the legendary Olympia Hall! In 2012, the singer/song-writer starred in The Voice, season 1, making it to Top 8. Her two songs from the show reached the top 30 on the ARIA charts. In 2019, she was asked back on The Voice - and WON! Her debut single "Wait For No One" was released immediately - her own song, not a cover. In December 2019, Diana became a participant in ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides’. Her song "Can We Make Heaven" finished 7th in a field of 10. Diana is currently in pre-production for the release of her long-awaited album.

The Hamiltons are one of Australia’s best kept secrets. The brother-sister duo, Emma and Thomas, are half-French, and they do an amazing concoction of Jazz, Cajun, French, Blues, Americana and “other” genres. Thomas is one of Sam McNally’s favourite “piano guys” and his sister is no slouch on the piano either. Emma’s piano accordion playing is fabulous. She is a fine vocalist and song-writer as well. Tommy Emmanuel invited The Hamiltons to tour Europe and Russia with him in 2014. The Hamiltons are delightful, refreshing and very unique. Their debut album “Introducing The Hamiltons” was released in 2023.

Deva Permana is a “drummers’ drummer”. The Indonesian musician bubbles with enthusiasm and love for the craft. His Sydney Fusion Jazz Jam is one of his many projects. He and Sam share the same fanatical love of “Fusion”.

Oscar Peterson - that's a name to live up to! - is one of Sydney’s great new “voices” on the Double Bass, having graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium. It’s Sam and Deva’s great pleasure to invite him into their circle.
