Indie Folk

Following a break-through year supporting The Dreggs, Ziggy Alberts, Kim Churchill, Steph Strings, Morgan Evans & a successful tour across Europe & the UK, Coastal Indie Folk troubadour Rod Coote is now touring his own headline shows across Australia and performing his new single 'Sun & Moon' for the first time live. Rod Coote returns to Sydney to perform at Lazy Bones Loungeon the 23rd April 2025.

With his warm and heartfelt indie folk music accumulating over 6 million streams online and a breathe of fresh air to the local music scene, Rod Coote established himself in 2024 with his singles 'Blue Lake' & 'By the Coastline', The Leap' gaining airplay on Triple J, the support of Spotify & Apple Music editorial playlists & selling out his first shows in Australia, Europe & United Kingdom.

From his grassroot beginnings busking by the Australian east coast, 2025 will see Rod Coote releasing his fourth EP produced by Hayden Calnin (Dean Lewis, Harrison Storm) inspired from his move to the south coast of Australia. He will also be opening for shows with Ziggy Alberts, Kim Churchill, Pete Murray & playing on an international festival 'Between The Trees' 2025 line up alongside Amistat in Wales UK.
