REMI live in Darwin

REMI's sophomore LP Divas and Demons was independently released through REMI’s own label

imprint House of Beige Records, nominated for an ARIA Award, and given 4.5 out of 5 stars as “A

landmark release” by Rolling Stone Australia. The album featured the widely loved singles “For Good”

featuring Sampa The Great, “Substance Therapy”, and “Lose Sleep” featuring Jordan Rakei, and

became the duo’s first official ARIA Top 10 record.

In 2017 REMI were nominated for the prestigious US BET Awards, and also saw a return to the UK

after being invited by Kate Tempest to perform at The Brighton Festival, where they played to a sold

out Brighton Dome. REMI also teamed up with emcee Sampa The Great and headed out on their

largest ever Australian national tour selling out venues across the country.

Consistently performing sold-out headline tours across Europe and Australia, REMI have also shared

the stage with Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown, Vic Mensa, De La Soul, Joey Bada$$, Blackalicious, and

Hiatus Kaiyote. With features across international media such as OkayPlayer, Majestic Casual,

COLORS, Billboard, NME, MTV Iggy, NPR and shout outs from the likes of hip-hop luminaire Chuck D

and Outkast’s Big Boi, REMI’s appeal is as diverse as it is impressive.

On the festival front locally, REMI have stormed the stages of Australia’s Beyond The Valley, Falls

Festival, Bluesfest, Splendour in the Grass and many more. Having built a reputation for their incredible

stage presence, REMI are next set to treat UK fans to a run of shows when they support Black Milk in

Manchester, Bristol & Leeds, before a headline show at London’s Jazz Cafe.

In 2019, REMI share their newest single, “5 A.M.” feat. Whosane via their own House of Beige Records

imprint. Serving as a reminder to audiences worldwide of REMI’s musical prowess, Remi’s effortless

flow sways in precise time to Sensible J’s organic and world class production, multi-layered in both

meaning and musicality. Back, and at their most astute yet, REMI continue to show the world their

limitless talent and capability to touch the soul, leaving listeners to conclude it’s no wonder they hold

reign at the top of Australia’s soul and hip-hop sphere.

“Remi might just be the artist to prove Australia is more than a one hip-hop wonder. The charismatic

MC (he performs as REMI) is one of Australia's hottest properties right now, and that's no hype”

Billboard US

“Armed with boundary-pushing productions of Sensible J, REMI is one of Australian rap's most

consistent, relaying his importance as a hip-hop heavyweight while also showcasing his remarkable

talents and knack for discovering what's bubbling underneath the Australian music spotlight” - Pilerats

“What the MC and his offsider (REMI) have captured will resonate with many young Australians who

hear this potent, passionate document of artistic expression” - The Australian

"REMI is a consummate performer. He’s impossibly slick and completely unafraid to shake what his

mama gave him (seriously, this dude’s got moves). He knows how to whip the crowd into a frenzy.

There’s nowhere for this young artist to go but up. Betting against REMI would be a fool’s move. He’s

got the goods". - themusic.com

“Remi holds nothing back, vindicating his artistry” - The Age
