Olivia's World is proud to present their debut full-length album 'Greedy & gorgeous', the band's third release following their two EPs 'Olivia's World' (2019) and 'Tuff 2B Tender' (2021). In 'Greedy & gorgeous', a quasi-concept album about desire, Olivia's World inhabitants deal with the woes of pleasure-seeking and a never-ending quest for beauty.

Join Olivia's World across April & May 2025 as they loudly re-enact their new LP songs across their first proper East Coast Australian tour.

They are joined in Gadigal Nura/Sydney by local legends Giant Hammer and Sevilles. Written and recorded in the band's sharehouse living room, Giant Hammer's six-track 2025 release, 'Swing Low', sustains a hammering of unfolding guitars and melodic wails from four different but highly complimentary songwriters (with good looks). Sevilles are a punk, folk and alt-guitar influenced female three-piece. Their hypnotic sets feature tightly spun drums, perverted classical guitars, and no concern for what anyone thinks. FFO Magic Dirt, Fazerdaze, Julia Jacklin.

Rooted in escapist reality, Olivia's World is a Brisbane via Vancouver via Canberra slacker rock project, now based in Sydney, Australia. Formed in 2017 during a two-year minimum wage sabbatical in Canada's West Coast, Olivia’s World came to fruition after a last-ditch effort for a drummer resulted in the recruitment of frontwoman Alice Rezende’s longtime musical hero–indie pop legend Rose Melberg.

Olivia’s World is a conduit for collaboration and has included a rotating roster of musicians. Original members Alice Rezende (Go Violets, Tempura Nights) and Joe Saxby (These Guy, Big Bad Echo) are now joined by Jordan Rodger (TV Colours, Wives, Primary Colours, Soft Toy) and Dirk Jonker (Bloods).

While 'Greedy & gorgeous' fits snug into the greater Aussie scene–with clear nods, as Canberran music critic Aaron Crowe puts it, to “dolewave pop”–, there’s no denying Olivia’s World’s ability to break the mold. The project still honours their life-long love of vintage twee, all the while charting through their own journey in the fractured squabble of the modern music landscape.
