Adelaide/Tarndanya Aussie skeleton punk band, Nocturnal Animals, who have recently won the District Skycity Battle of the Bands this year will now serve up their awaited debut EP – ’Paint A Picture’.

In-your-face drumming, fuzz-ridden guitars and punching punk-rock vocals; this paints a picture of Nocturnal Animals. Their electrifying live performances have landed them support slots with the DZ Deathrays, The Buoys, Nerve and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, and now they’re here to make a statement with their 6-track EP ‘Paint A Picture’.

Following their latest releases ‘Passive Tone’ and ‘A Simple Fuck You’, Nocturnal Animals have animated their own audience from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and their hometown in Adelaide.

‘Paint A Picture’ contributes to the themes of their latest singles–cutting toxic people out of your life and dropping the burden and grief that follows you like a ball and chain. Nocturnal Animals explore dysfunctional relationships, expectations to conform to societal norms and finding confidence in yourself whilst secretly suffering.

SUPPORTING ACTS:

Mums Favourite:

Adelaide based, Mums Favourite is a 5-piece group with serious musical chops and a love for the bluesy indie-rock. They are known to be crowd favourites in Adelaide with their sound being deeply cultured and bluesy, but the band plays it off with a tease of retro vibes and youthful attraction that keeps their fans coming back for more. Bamm from Nocturnal Animals says: 'They are one of the most greatest sounding and best bands live here in the Adelaide scene. Sasha's lead vocals sound like an angel. I'm not religious but I've now seen and heard an angel in person. This is a band not to miss out on period.

Max Headroom:

The Max Headroom are a five piece alternative rock band from Adelaide. The group have been described as having a “driving, gritty, in-your-face alternative rock” that have the same competing sound with the likes of Ocean Alley, Tame Impala and Spacey Jane.

The Nocturnal Animal boys have seen this band live many of times and the hype is still growing. Their live performance is jam packed with fun, exciting sounds and catchy choruses. After recently opening for international rock band Wavves at The Lion Arts Factory, their status is growing and is not a band to miss out on.
