Mum Friends Release Show
Your Mum Friends are back! Coming off of their sold-out debut single release ‘Rails’, Mum Friends continue to weave through the (all too relatable) post break-up haircuts and the strenuous task of being in your 20s in the 2020s with their new release “Woke Fuckboy”.
Crowds have been yelling along since the band broke into the scene in December 2019,
having since played alongside TOWNS, Teenage Joans, RAT!hammock and Cry Club. Now
lovingly supported by Vanessa Marousopoulos and Annie Siegmann this no man, no meat eating, all queer band solidified their place in the genre of “Australian Woman Who Have F***ing had it”.
This release sees Mum Friends lean right into the heartbreak of dating a Woke Fuckboy; someone who seems switched on but ultimately… is a big Fuckboy. Crunchy guitars and breakneck drums paired with multi-part harmonies build up over the energetic track through the signature Mum Friends dynamic shifts, the peaks of the chorus and the valley of the bridge. You can’t help but sing along.
Join Mum Friends, Tiles and Eleanor Meegan at Jive on Saturday April 3 (Easter Saturday) for the launch party.
