Cassian is a live electronic musician hailing from Sydney, Australia. An accomplished producer, DJ, and mixing engineer, he’s cemented his name as one of the more versatile talents to
emerge from Sydney’s flourishing electronic scene.

Cassian got his start in historic Kings Cross nightclub Candys Apartment, throwing a recurring party called “Ram Jam” alongside the likes of What So Not, Alison Wonderland and Hayden James. In 2009, he signed his first track to Bang Gang, finding a receptive home for his funk and disco-influenced creations. In the years that followed, he would go on to join the likes of Sweat It Out and Nurvous Records, gaining international attention with tracks like “Running” and “Feel It.”

Around the same time, Cassian began working in the studio with another rising Australian act, RÜFÜS DU SOL. After providing an official remix for the group, Cassian would go on to mix the
trio’s critically-acclaimed sophomore album ‘Bloom.’ In the time since, Cassian has become an integral part of the RÜFÜS family, touring the world with the group and collaborating on their
latest album ‘Solace.’

Now, fittingly, Cassian is poised to join RÜFÜS DU SOL’s new imprint Rose Avenue as the label’s first signing. Cassian will bring his forthcoming debut album to the label: a raw,
analog-driven LP showcasing Cassian’s tenacity for polished songwriting and analog synths. Exploring the cyclical nature of relationships, it’s easily his most personal work to date, and a
signpost for the future direction of the Cassian project.
In many ways, it feels as though Cassian is entering a new era of his career. Having relocated to Los Angeles, and standing on the precipice of his first-ever album, the future is bright for the
young Sydney musician. With his sights set on building out his live show, Cassian is undeniably coming into his own as an artist, and it’s impossible not to be excited for what’s to come.
