MOTHER MOTHER ANNOUNCES
VENUE UPGRADES FOR THEIR FIRST AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND TOUR
After announcing their very first Australia and New Zealand tour and proceeding to sell out all shows, Vancouver’s MOTHER MOTHER has today announced venue upgrades for their INSIDE tour with new Australian dates and a second Auckland show.
Due to overwhelming demand, MOTHER MOTHER will now play at Magnet House (Perth, 6 February), Palais Theatre (Melbourne, 9 February), Roundhouse (Sydney, 10 February), Triffid (Brisbane, 13 February) and a second show in Auckland at Tuning Fork (14 February).
To the delight of fans, the Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane shows are now all ages events. All existing tickets will remain valid for the new show dates without need for exchange.
Tickets to all shows go on sale to the public Tuesday 18 October at 11am AEDT. For complete tour and ticket information, visit: livenation.com.au , livenation.co.nz or mothermother.site.com
Of the tour, front man Ryan Guldemond says:
“We feel so very lucky to be able to tour the world doing what we love. We haven’t been to Australia and New Zealand yet as a band, so we are beyond excited to play for our fans there, who have been incredibly supportive and patient. We can’t wait!”
MOTHER MOTHER has had a whirlwind decade; over 2 billion streams and views, more than 16 million monthly listeners on digital platforms, 4.1 million Shazam searches and sold out tour dates across the globe. “Hayloft II”, the hugely anticipated sequel to viral track “Hayloft” debuted within the Top 10 on Spotify’s Global Top Songs Debut chart and has already been streamed more than 35 million times across all DSPS, with over 6.2M video views.
The band also had a feature in Rolling Stone, a performance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and made several appearances of late in Billboard’s Emerging Artist Chart, as well as topping Lyric Find’s global and US lyric search charts. In their native Canada, MOTHER MOTHER has had many top 10 singles on the alternative radio charts, including #1’s for weeks on end and the crown of most airplay for any alternative act at radio for multiple years running.
Globally, the band’s avid fanbase continues to grow exponentially, as their presence on TikTok organically exploded during the fall of 2020 during lockdown. A variety of songs from O My Heart and Touch Up were used virally on the platform over 330 million times, resulting in millions of streams and new followers on streaming platforms and socials.
With their skyrocket to fame and one-of-a-kind sound, this is one tour that’s not to be missed!
