Mood Swing & Chevy Bass are teaming up with Box of Cats records to bring you their next series of Block Parties! 3 open air day into night parties hitting Melbourne, Sydney and Brunswick Heads With special international funk lords on board, The Sponges (USA) have become well known for their unmistakable signature sound in dance music.


The combination of tasteful 70’s funk & disco samples, psychedelic sound design, heavy bass lines, and 4x4 house rhythms can instantly be recognised as one the The Sponges finely tuned productions. Bolstering the block party is none other than Wongo! Producer, DJ, Label head, radio show host, former international break dancer and fulltime funny man. Gold Coast- bred party - starter Wongo is no one tricky pony. What really drives everything Wongo does is his love for music and the community around him. Case in point in building one of Australia’s most formidable electronic music label’s Box of Cats, which he uses to support and shine a light on the producers he sees doing good things and was pivotal in providing platforms for both The Sponges and Mood Swing & Chevy Bass with their releases on BOC Plus a thick serving of incredible local talent on support duties for each city.
