Meg Washington

Meg Washington is renowned for her electrifying and soulful live performances, and her uniquely intelligent songwriting style.

In her new single 'The Hook', Meg has sampled French electronic music producer Petit Biscuit's breakout hit 'Sunset Lover’, which has achieved an astonishing milestone of 15 times platinum certification worldwide.

"For ages, I kept hearing this song everywhere I went. It sounded like a perfect pop instrumental that was just aching for a melody and a lyric. I loved the chopped up vocal hook and I wanted to respect it by preserving it within the story of the lyrics. It ended up wanting to be a break-up on a beach" - Meg Washington.

‘The Hook’ is the first single from the soundtrack of ‘How to Make Gravy’; the feature film which Meg co-wrote and co-produced with her partner Nick Waterman under their company, Speech and Drama Pictures. ‘How to Make Gravy’ is an adaptation of Paul Kelly’s classic song by the same name.

Meg will be performing The Hook and other songs from her across her impressive five-album catalogue, including ‘Lazarus Drug’; which was recently featured in the final moments of ‘The Sign’, a special episode of smash-hit Bluey, in which Meg also voices a character.

This is an intimate seated event with limited capacity—arrive early to nab your preferred seat.
