Naarm/Melbourne five piece garage psych outfit Mature Themes are back with their first release of 2025.

Their new single Sweet Release, delivers a psychedelic hit of summery nineties and noughties nostalgia influenced by the likes of The Dandy Warhols, Primal Scream and The Verve. Featuring fuzzed out guitars, trip hop-esque drum beats, and distorted synths - the track pushes the band into new territory, whilst still maintaining their reputation of heavy hitting garage rock.

To celebrate the songs release, the band will be launching it at Shotkickers on Sat 12 April, with The Rayes & Lunar Lagoon.
