Choro das Minas will kick off the night. Born from the need for more women in the choro scene in Sydney, this all-female group was formed to celebrate the anniversary of the Brazilian restaurant Kitanda. With most of the musicians around being men, Choro das Minas was created to bring a fresh, feminine touch to the genre. The group features Sara Muller on flute, Laura Balthazar on clarinet, Bruna Rangel on guitar, Fabiana Souza on cavaquinho, and Alexandra Bastos and Lena Sturzenecker on pandeiro. Their mission is to inspire and encourage women to play choro (brazilian instrumental music), enchanting audiences with their grace and beauty, and enriching the cultural scene in Sydney.

Following Choro das Minas, Zamba Tree will take the stage. Dive into the timeless melodies of Bossa Nova and original pieces by Zamba Tree. Set in the cozy and intimate atmosphere of Lazybones Lounge, this performance promises an immersive musical journey.
