Folk Pop Singer/Songwriter

Val Moogz returns to Sydney this Winter to perform solo at Lazybones in Marrickville. Val Moogz is a prolific and passionate songwriter, drawing upon diverse musical influences ranging from Patti Smith’s powerful rock poetry, to Bill Withers’ great songs of soul, to the acoustic surf pop lullabies of Jack Johnson. A self-proclaimed lover of life, nature and people, Val Moogz draws inspiration from their daily encounters and the beautiful surrounds of the South Coast of NSW (Yuin Country) to create relatable, heartfelt tunes for everyone. This show will include new live looping songs, as well as old favourites following the releases of singles 'The Sea' and 'With You' last year. 

Shalane Connors is a Sydney based musician, actor and writer. Her latest solo project features original folk music with a strong lyrical focus. Shalane toured the folk festival nationally, released two EPs and an album under her previous project, Siskin River, and now plans to record her latest works as a soloist in late 2023.
