🍃 Stop 4: Bollon - Bollon Civic Centre
📅 Wednesday 23rd April
On day four of our outback adventure, we travel further west to the charming town of Bollon, nestled along the peaceful Wallam Creek.
Join us on the lawn at the Bollon Civic Centre for Lunch with the Locals, where culture, community, and authentic outback experiences meet. Perfectly timed for Trail travellers, this day will feature live entertainment, market stalls, and the chance to indulge in either casual fare on your picnic blanket or an exclusive three course bush tucker experience set up with umbrellas, tables and chairs.

Explore local artisan stalls as you arrive, offering handcrafted clothing, cultural items, artworks, and tasty treats. A highlight of the day will be a Welcome and cultural presentation from Uncle Bill Speedy, respected Gwamu/Kooma Elder, a didge performance by renowned visual artist and storyteller, Tommy Crow, with the opportunity to meet some down-to-earth locals.
Wanting to spend the night? Check into the Wallam Creek Campsite, a free campground on the picturesque riverbank, with toilets and showers, and an easy stroll to the event. Afterward, head over to The Bollon Hotel for a delicious pub feed. As the pub’s sign says, “There are no strangers here, just friends you haven’t met yet.”
Lunch with the Locals promises a memorable day of connection and celebration in the heart of Bollon. Don't miss this unique gathering that brings the community spirit to life.
