SWAPMEET

Swapmeet (formerly known as Sour Sob) is a band based on unceded Kaurna land. With an ever changing energy and aesthetic, Swapmeet’s sound is at once light-hearted and raw. With indie rock foundations, characterised by sonic experimentation, and a punk spirit, Swapmeet are known in the Adelaide circuit for their playful, chaotic onstage presence.

GOOD LUCK MARY

Good Luck Mary are a shoegaze band playing and writing on Kaurna land. The band formed in 2023 as a part of MusicSA’s Cert 3 in Music Performance, and have since taken on the Adelaide scene, playing shows since January 2024 with a distinct sound and a growing, dedicated audience.

ROADKILL

ROADKILL is a blood-soaked, teenage punk band, based in the Northern suburbs. Taking influence from Dead Kennedys and Oingo Boingo, along with local music like Violet Harlot, they combine horror-based lyrics with loud, fast music to get the crowd moving along with them.

WHAT’S LOW STAKES?

Low Stakes is an NSS program for 14-17 year olds to learn the ins and outs of putting on a gig! There's 5 weeks of weekly sessions that culminate in two real-life gigs at NSS, where participants will get hands-on experience organising and running the show.

ACCESSIBILITY INFO

Northern Sound System is an accessible venue with wheelchair access located at the front. Wheelchair accessible toilets are available. These toilets are unisex. There are three accessible car parking bays located close to the front entrance.

Northern Sound System has plenty of free car parking available to the front and side of the venue. The venue is 800m from Elizabeth Train Station (approx 12 minutes walk) and Bus Stop 65A Elizabeth Way is directly out front (Bus routes 440, 450, 451, 452).
