Cosmic jazz - future soul-jazz - ambient
Get out for a double bill of forward thinking “jazz” acts: Jeremy Rose - Project Infinity and Rodriguez Trio, as they feature improvisational instrumentation and fiery solos, spacey electronics, cosmic atmospheres and hip-hop related grooves. The night will feature each act followed by a combined session..
"His mastery in all aspects of his artistry of his artistry makes him a creative force with which to reckon.” All About Jazz
“Buoyant invention: never seeming to flag or to want for new ideas he is that rare thing an improvisor you want to hear more from… Jeremy Rose is one to watch on the Australian jazz scene… “ Jazzwise UK
Project Infinity is the brain-child from genre-bending saxophonist Jeremy Rose. Intent on exploring the post-jazz, post-everything sound world, they create an exciting fresh perspective on music from torchbearers The Necks and Tangents, drawing upon elements of spiritual jazz, abstract soundscapes, and future soul. Assembled for a special event at Phoenix Central Park Performance Space in 2021, the group had immediate chemistry, featuring Rose alongside keys player Novak Manojlovic, drummer Tully Ryan and electronic artist Ben Carey. Their debut live album from that initial meeting is out July 14th through Earshift Music.
Rose is at the forefront of an exciting wave of Australian jazz and adventurous music. He has performed throughout Australia, Europe and the UK. His collaboration with drummers Simon Barker, Chloe Kim, Disruption: The Voice of Drums premiered at the 2021 Sydney Festival to wide acclaim. As founder of the record label Earshift Music, Rose has fostered a community of creative musicians throughout Australasia which NYC Jazz Records describes as “representing the future of Australian music... hell bent on pushing the very definition of jazz.”

Godriguez Trio
“Godriguez is adept at unleashing torrents of Dilla-esque musical genius” VICE
“Godriguez plunges into sounds more surreal, with scratchy, distorted samples and almost industrial sounding instrumentals that shiver and boom.” The Guardian
Widely regarded as one of the country’s best hip hop producers, Godriguez, the Alter-ego of guitarist Dave Rodriguez, has played with some of the biggest names in jazz and hip hop. Most well know for his work with Sampa The Great, Godriguez’s glitchy, off-kilter beats and eclectic soundscapes earned him support slots for Hip-Hop icon Kendrick Lamar and Neo-Soul darlings Hiatus Kaiyote to name a few.
In October 2017, He released the debut LP for his live band project GODTET which LNWY magazine hailed as “…one of the most important contemporary jazz releases to come out of Australia in a long time.”
