Join us at the Brunswick Ballroom for an evening of outstanding live jazz as Ivanhoe Grammar School presents its annual Jazz Night, showcasing some of Melbourne’s most exciting emerging young musicians.

This special concert forms a key part of the school’s final preparations for Generations in Jazz, Australia’s premier youth jazz festival. Audiences can expect polished, high‑energy performances from Ivanhoe’s jazz ensembles, featuring classic swing, contemporary big band repertoire, and small‑group jazz works brought to life with confidence, precision and style.

Performing in a professional live‑music venue allows students to refine their stagecraft, ensemble cohesion and musical communication — and gives audiences the chance to experience the next generation of jazz talent up close.

With professional sound and lighting, a vibrant atmosphere, and food available for purchase on the night, Ivanhoe Grammar’s Jazz Night promises an engaging and uplifting evening of live music in one of Melbourne’s iconic venues.

ACCESSIBILITY

We prioritise accessibility for our guests at the Brunswick Ballroom. As part of our commitment, we have installed an Acorn Indoor 180 Curved Stairlift https://youtu.be/_Uxr-EcI0E4?si=LHu15xRKgGOj0RYX

While this addresses some accessibility challenges, please note that guests using wheelchairs will need to transfer out of them to use the stairlift, which may pose difficulties for some patrons.

We understand that ensuring accessibility is an ongoing process and remain dedicated to exploring further solutions to make our venue accessible to everyone. Should you have any specific requirements or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us beforehand.
