Gurrumul has chosen to announce today, a last-minute, intimate late night show whilst in Sydney for the ARIAs this week.

As an alternative to the ARIAs after-parties Gurrumul and his band will play a limited ticket show at Blue Beat, late in the evening of this Thursday November 29 to thank those who have made 2012 the biggest year of his career to date. This will be the first Sydney show of its type in Gurrumul's career, providing a unique opportunity to see the man 'Rolling Stone' magazine dubbed "Australia's most important voice" in a rare, intimate setting.

Over the past year, Gurrumul has met and performed for the US President, the Queen and Prince Charles, as well as receiving an Honorary Doctorate from Sydney University. He has also added another platinum award to his collection for the stunning album Rrakala. Away from the industry hype, Gurrumul will perform this one-off small late show in his "favourite city" Sydney in a post ARIA celebration for the fans and industry who have made it all possible.

He will play instrumentals, plus songs from both this triple platinum, and platinum selling albums, and profile some new sounds from his next album. Gurrumul and his band have been enjoying Missy Higgins support slots in large venues around the country with fans on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Melbourne still able to catch shows over the coming week.
