After the resounding success of their inaugural event last month, Secret Sounds are thrilled to announce the second edition of their monthly club night ‘Ground Level’ on Thursday 22 June. Showcasing the very best local and emerging talent, alongside surprise international guests. The second instalment will feature genre-less Eora/Sydney-based artist FRIDAY*, club, hardcore & pop/trance duo AGONY and experimental pop creator AnSo.

Kickstarting the night, a self-describer sculptor of sound existing and creating on Gadigal land, South Korean artist, AnSo’s works are ever evolving, like a blob of clay on a throwing wheel, the hands of the sculptor feeling, moulding, collapsing, rising.

AGONY is an Eora/Sydney-based club, hardcore & pop/trance duo consisting of producer & graphic designer Luca Bianchino (He/Him) and producer Grasps (Any). Agony is a shining euphoria. Their music borders on elements of trance, hyper-pop & sad boys, packaging these sounds into addictive dance floor tracks with their melancholic yet hopeful vocals at the forefront. When Agony calls ‘Let’s go!’, will you answer?

Closing out the night, FRIDAY*, who burst onto the scene with a string of colourful yet enigmatic singles in 2022, pushing boundaries and turning heads with a conviction and purpose not felt within the Eora/Sydney scene in quite some time. Genre-less at ease, his compositions touch on self-conflict, long nights, good friends, bad heartache, and all things in between. His free-flowing sense of self allows him to build loose sonic narratives that refuse to be boxed in. Tapestry pop, obscure boom bap, raw punk, and more subcultures than you could poke a rainbow at, FRIDAY* is like being invited to an untamed house party a few streets over in full swing and every door you open is a new, colourful world you can taste.

This monthly club night in Sydney is set to provide an exciting platform for emerging artists from a variety of backgrounds and genres to showcase their talents and connect with the local music community.
Ground Level aims to build a loyal group of emerging and local artists, and fans – where they can discover new talent, network with others in the industry and connect with potential collaborators. Our team strives to foster the growth of the Australian music industry, and this new club night is a testament to our ongoing commitment to supporting artists both nationally and internationally.
