As part of the Great Southern gig program, Sydney’s premier Cumbia, 15-piece orchestra comprising Colombian and Australian musicians, delivers the highly contagious and joyous rhythms of Latin American cumbia. 

With over 10 years in the Australian scene, Cumbiamuffin showcases a hotshot horn section, percussionists, and Colombian vocalists Angela Rosero and Alfonso Mosquera, creating an irresistible wall of sound. Their performance seamlessly blends Caribbean influences of ragga and roots with the infectious dancefloor swing of authentic Latino cumbia.

Cumbiamuffin assembles a group of top-tier musicians from both Australia and Colombia. Their mission: to acquaint Australian audiences with the captivating, high-energy live sound of the golden era of orchestrated cumbia, characterized by addictive beats and the vibrant resonance of a big brass band.
