JORDAN KENNY

With beatnik flair, Sydney artist Jordan Kenny crafts crackling stage performances with timeless energy.

Featuring an eclectic mix of quirky folk, 60s rock, and a kindling poetic voice, his shows are not to be missed.

Jordan has developed an artful writing style seemingly blessed with wisdom from beyond this realm, and his music and storytelling are woven together with dreamy complexity.

THE DELUXE BROTHERS

The Deluxe Brothers (Guy Donnellan and Baron Alder) have been old souls since before they were old bodies. They've been steeped in the music emanating from the American South in the 1940s and 50s since they first started playing together in their teens, and have been gigging around Sydney ever since.

Guy played with the Western Distributors for a number of years and can be heard twanging his Gretsch and Fender guitars on their two critically acclaimed albums (The Western Distributors and Off in the Distance).

Together, The Deluxe Brothers play an artfully curated mix of covers and originals in genres ranging from 1950s rhythm and blues to honky tonk, blues and western swing.

CORN NUT CREEK

Corn Nut Creek is a story of two women from different sides of the world on a journey of self-discovery through music.

The Appalachian indie-folk duo features Tanya Bradley’s banjo paired with Danielle Vita’s fiddle and vocals – an ensemble greater than the sum of its parts. Their brand-new single 'Trails of Truth' is a progression from their Americana and bluegrass roots that signals an evolution of the band.

In 2020, their song ‘Nowhere to Go’ was in the ‘Juror’s Top Five’ and was a category finalist in Blues & Roots Radio’s International Song Contest. The band was given an honorary mention for their entry in the Berkeley Old Time Music Convention’s 2020 String Band Contest (USA), and their debut EP featured on Felicity Urquhart’s ‘Saturday Night Country’ on the ABC.

Their first full album is due in December 2022.

THE VENUE

The Petersham Bowling Club is a family friendly venue in Sydney's inner west that supports live music with gusto and is proudly pokie free. Run by local volunteers who keep the veggie patch colourful and cold glasses overflowing, the heart and soul of Petersham is at 77 Brighton St and has an interesting story. We are proud to support this iconic venue and keep the disco ball spinning.
