After the impressive re-introduction of Fifth Dawn in 2022 their first single for 2023, In Between, points towards a reckoning in their Alternative Rock; high energy, emotionally resonant and their sophisticated transition through powerful rites of passage.

As a young band Fifth Dawn collected accolades, shared big stages and found audiences around the world; a heady initiation that came with internal struggles for the band. In Between addresses the moment where you have to decide whether you’re willing to step up and take control of yourself and responsibility for your circumstance or languish in the chaotic haze of should’ve, could’ve, would’ve. In Between is a firebrand song of great impact. The hard-hitting riff and soaring vocal continually push and galvanise the personal resolve. When front woman Samantha Faul sings “I’m an understated girl, When I get my sights on I’m an unstoppable kind” you are compelled by the power of lived truth and feel the strength of a band that deftly move between the dark and the light, both personally and artistically.

Building on the thunderous and undeniably emotive sounds of Return, which was welcomed with great enthusiasm, being premiered by online tastemaker Dreambound, and securing spots in Spotify’s Rock Out and New Metal playlists and regular plays on Triple J Unearthed and spot plays on BBC’s Radio1; The band continue to work with Henrik Udd (Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, Dayseeker) to distil their brand of heavy and melodic rock music.

The release of In Between will also see Fifth Dawn return to the stage, launching the single at Oxford Art Factory’s Gallery Bar on April 15th.
