Festival X Gold Coast 2022
NOW AT METRICON STADIUM
Sun 27 November, 2022
Following a brief hiatus since its debut in 2019, Festival X is back this November and December, signalling a return to large-scale Australian festival summer shows across Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth.
As welcome news today, Festival X announce a venue change in Gold Coast to get ahead of potential issues and provide the best experience possible for all punters.
In anticipation of potential weather events on the east coast in the coming months, Festival X has announced a move to one of Queensland's premier entertainment venues, Metricon Stadium, a short walk from the original location. As a further win for Gold Coast patrons, the move to Metricon sees a limited number of 16+ aged tickets go on sale. With a new generation of music lovers rarely having the opportunity to see and experience live music over recent years, Festival X is thrilled to open the event up to a new community of festivalgoers.
With these recent changes, Festival organisers aim to secure the best experience for the fans and internationally acclaimed artists across Australia's most prominent summer touring festival.
Regular public transport services (including Queensland Rail services, G: Link Light Rail and Surfside Buslines) are free for Festival X ticketholders from 4 hours pre-event until 4 hours post-event. Following a massive debut in 2019, Festival X will return to kick off summer 2022, this time expanding its reach to five cities across five dates in November and December. It will be the first summer festival to land on the Australian calendar, bringing the party to Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth.
Once again, Festival X will represent the very best in Hip Hop, Dance, EDM and Electronic music across multiple stages with a line-up featuring global superstars alongside the hottest local talent.
Headlining is festival favourite and multiple Grammy, Billboard and Brit Award winner, Calvin Harris in his second appearance at Festival X; hot off the heels of his fifth studio album announcement. Alongside, Chicago based, Trap-N-B rising star Don Toliver is headed to our shores for the first time, following multiple successful releases through Travis Scott’s iconic Cactus Jack records and trance aficionado and local hero MaRLo will also top off a bill.
