South Weight Hi-Fi is Lutruwita/Tasmania’s first hand-made custom-built reggae and bass sound system, crafted by DJs/selectors Paul McGough and Tommy Ray to share with the community.

Come together at In The Hanging Garden for a free entry and family friendly event, celebrating dub, reggae and roots culture with hip-hop, jungle and drum ‘n’ bass influences.

Paul and Tommy will be taking you on a journey through their expansive wax collections — showcasing the classics on a system how they were meant to be heard.

Co-Owner/Operator of South Weight Hi-Fi, Operator P is a selector that draws musical influence from Sound System Culture across the globe and indulges in Heavy Dub, Deep Roots Reggae and Steppers through to Jungle. If it’s bass-heavy and full of soul it’s gonna be his jam.

Tommy

DJ THENSUM is an open format DJ with a passion for making others dance. He is an experienced DJ who specialises in Hip-Hop, Drum n Bass, Dub and Reggae. With over a decade of experience, he is guaranteed to come correct and provide the right atmosphere and unparalleled vibes to any event. Whether it's a party, a wedding, a festival, or any other special occasion, DJ THENSUM will make sure everyone has an unforgettable time.
