Event Details

His fifth long player is a dark, sprawling epic set in the goldfields of Central Victoria, combining adventurous piano boogie, widescreen electric guitar happenings, traditional Irish instruments and Dan’s patented macro/micro lyrical adventures. The first single Burn Up with the Trees is currently flaming up the airwaves across the country.

This will be Dan's biggest, most spectacular show in Melbourne since the launch of the AMP nominated Leisure Panic in 2016. The album will be played in full with Dan’s Melbourne based super group Regional Crisis, featuring Dan Luscombe (Drones, Courtney Barnett, Amyl and the Sniffers), Gus Agars (Marlon Williams, Dark Horses, Tex, Don and Charlie) and Ben Woolley (Marlon Williams) and a stellar cast of guest musicians including Tom Lyngcoln (Harmony, Nation Blue) Amanda Roff (Harmony, Time for Dreams) and legendary saxophonist Julien Wilson to provide the audience with a sonic immersive and golden experience!

“The mighty Dan Kelly’s magical 5th album, GOLDFEELS is yet another gargantuan lesson in artful yet instantly appealing album making. Kelly covers new ground on this largely piano-based offering (with distant echoes of Randy Newman and John Cale), telling musical stories about sex, death, grief, and bushfires - what more could you ask for?”

Peter Jesperson- Replacements Manager/Twin Tone Records Head

After the performance of GOLDFEELS the band will perform a wide range of Dan Kelly’s old tunes from his wildly diverse and eclectic back catalogue.
