CUTE IS WHAT WE AIM FOR
The power-pop recording group Cute Is What We Aim For has revealed an exclusive tour itinerary for late 2016, including the first-ever performance of their acclaimed debut album, "THE SAME OLD BLOOD RUSH WITH A NEW TOUCH."
The series of dates finds the ebullient foursome topping a multi-band bill that kicks off on August 19th, at Fowler's Live in Adelaide. The week-long schedule will traverse the country, culminating in a August 28th finale at Sydney's The Factory Floor. All shows will see CIWWAF perform "THE SAME OLD BLOOD RUSH WITH A NEW TOUCH," in it's entirety.
Fueled By Ramen Records released "The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch" in June of 2006 to full-blown critical celebration. "The epitome of emo," raved the New York Times' Kelefa Sanneh, "fizzy, clever, self-aware, very witty...(The) album is widly-reflexive, full of lyrics poking fun at ego conventions...These songs are tightly packed with twists and turns and - yes- singalongs...Cute Is What We Aim For has released the emo soundtrack to every summer."
"The best thing since Fall Out Boy," declared Alternative Press. "Cute obviously understands the importance of gold-gilded hooks...soundtrack music for the world's most perfect summer crush."
Since 2006, the band has seen its faithful fan following continue to show enormous support throughout the ups and downs of their career. After declaring a hiatus in 2009, the band reformed in 2014 to perform on the Vans Warped Tour.
Expect to see the band back once again in full force as they celebrate the album that put launched their career and made them a pioneer in the "emo invasion of the early 2000s."
