Heralded by Under The Radar as “Ireland’s next great band,” electrifying Cork five-piece Cliffords today announce their first-ever Australian headline shows, with two performances in Melbourne and Sydney this March as part of their upcoming Síos Faoi Tour. 

Led by the captivating vocals of Iona Lynch, joined by bandmates Daniel Ryan (drums), Harry Menton (guitar), Brisbane-born Locon O’Toole (keys), and Gavin Dawkins (multi- instrumentalist), these special headline shows by Cliffords mark the first time the dynamic Irish group bring their signature blend of love, heartbreak, and cathartic indie pop to fans down under. 

The band is already confirmed to perform at Sydney’s inaugural MISNEACH Festival, curated by Irish superstar Dermot Kennedy and taking place in The Domain on Sunday 16 March. Now, Cliffords will take the stage at two intimate headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, showcasing their heartfelt, guitar-driven tales of youth, adolescence, and young adulthood. 

Since the self-release of their 2024 breakout EP Strawberry Scented, Cliffords have become an unstoppable force in the Irish indie scene. The EP sparked a fierce bidding war among London record labels and catapulted the band to national success at home. Packed with themes of love, heartbreak, and self-reflection, Strawberry Scented delivers superb guitar pop anthems like the punchy opener ‘Second Skin’ and fan-favourite ‘If The Shoe Fits.’ The band’s success has also crossed the Irish Sea, with Cliffords achieving their first UK sell-out show at London’s Seabright Arms in November.
