DJ STINGRAY 313
A true pioneer in the electronic music world, DJ Stingray 313 explores themes of modern science, genetics, healthcare, and technology through his music.
His career began in 1987 with Lou Robinson (Scan 7) under the alias Nasa, producing "Time To Party" and "Can't Stop Now." Later, as Urban Tribe, he released "Covert Action" on Carl Craig’s Planet E Communications, followed by the 1998 album The Collapse of Modern Culture on Mo'Wax, featuring collaborations with Carl Craig, Anthony "Shake" Shakir, and Moodymann. Most notably, he was closely associated with James Stinson and Gerald Donald of Drexciya, earning the title "Drexciyan DJ Stingray" and becoming their official touring DJ. His high-energy, cyborg-like performances have captivated audiences at legendary venues and festivals such as Tresor Berlin, Berghain, Dekmantel, Movement Festival (Detroit), Sonar (Barcelona), and Glastonbury. Releasing under DJ Stingray 313 and Stingray313, his music has appeared on Mahogani Music, Warp Records, Rephlex, Tresor, and Unknown To The Unknown. He has also collaborated under the NRSB-11 moniker with Gerald Donald and Penelope Martin. Through his label Micron Audio, he continues to push futuristic electro and techno, showcasing artists like Galaxian, Ctris, Loka, and 6SISS, alongside his own groundbreaking productions.
