BALL PARK MUSIC
'GET THE F**KING NERDS BACK ON' TOUR
Our favourite f**king nerds are back on the road after the success of their latest self-produced album release ‘Weirder & Weirder’ and its corresponding national tour – which featured the band’s huge 500th show at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion. With ‘Stars In My Eyes’ reaching #8 on triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2022, Ball Park Music are excited to embark on a string of intimate theatre shows in Perth, Hobart, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne in May/June 2023
Frontman, Sam Cromack says “Can’t wait for this one. Our appetite to perform is huge. We’ve been through a lot of change in recent times, but it feels like we’re seeing clearly. We’re looking forward to getting back in some smaller theatres. They feel like our natural home. We wanna be close to the audience, to feel like we’re together in the same room. Paul got a new synth too, so that should be good.”
Joining Ball Park Music on stage at Northcote Theatre will be indie-punk rockers, The Buoys, and singer-songwriter,Elizabeth M. Drummond.
The Buoys recently opened for Arctic Monkeys in Sydney and have been playing several festivals and shows around the country including Alpine Valley Vibes, Best Night Ever, Rolling Sets, and more! Following the success of their previous single ‘Lie To Me Again’, which reached #85 on the Hottest 100 of 2021, the Sydney four-piece dropped their newest track ‘Red Flags’ last year with high acclaim. They’ve even popped into triple j to cover ‘Monster Mash’ with Alex The Astronaut and Hobba & Hing, sold out their Vivid LIVE show, supported Psychedelic Porn Crumpets on their national tour, and opened for Wet Leg’s SITG sideshow.
Elizabeth M. Drummond has re-entered the Australian indie music scene, this time as a solo artist, with her self-released debut EP ‘Congratulations’ late last year after relocating to Melbourne and departing from folk/rock outfit, Little May, which she formed in 2012 with Hannah Field and Annie Hamilton. Her latest six-track release, featuring singles ‘Congratulations’ and ‘Crisis’, is a grainy, garage-rock compilation of melancholic and self-reflective musings which has us all captivated. Recently, Drummond opened for Bad//Dreems in Melbourne and will now be opening for Ball Park Music in both Melbourne and Hobart.
This is a line-up you don’t want to miss out on!
