Everybody’s favourite indie rock hook scoundrels are back with another taste of their forthcoming debut album . Keeping true to the fragmented locations of each band member, ‘Hold Choke’ was written in St Kilda VIC, recorded in Newcastle and Sydney NSW and sent into the digital ether to your very ear holes from Russell Island QLD.

“This is one of my favourite BP tunes for sure. This year I’ve been coming to terms with and confronting some mental health issues - I wrote this song a couple of years ago in the time between a break up and getting back together with an ex-girlfriend and was in a particularly self-destructive head space. I think it sometimes helps to deal with darkness with a stroke of brightness so I put all of my thoughts and feeling into a boppy, yelly pop song. We had a lot of fun tracking it between a Farm House we rented out in Pokolbin, Sam’s studio as well as my own. JP Fung also added his magic touch with some additional production and a stellar mix” - Jarred Young (Vocals/Drums)

Bad Pony intended on spending 2020 touring heavily after having a spell away from their regular national and international schedule since their  SxSW 2018  appearance to work on their debut album. With a whole lot of pent up gig energy, a bucket load of new material and a fresh booking deal with  The   Harbour Agency , Bad Pony can’t bloody wait to get out of the gate and gig again.
